We are honored to announce that we are the official winners of the Africa World Documentary Film Festival. It has been a great pleasure to be a part of this wonderful traveling festival. Moreover, we just received word that we were selected for the Carmel Film Festival. So I will be enjoying a screening in my home town!
I have been back from Libya for two months, and things have really picked up. In April, we won a Special Jury award at the Arizona Film Festival, and an Excellence Award at the Rincon International Film Festival. Further, I attended the Short Shorts Festival & Asia in Tokyo and Yokohama, where We Win or We Die was warmly received.
We are pleased to announce that we were recently selected for the Indianapolis International Film Festival and Hollyshorts Festival. I will be heading off to Indianapolis for our screenings at the Deboest Theater on July 21st (12:15pm), and July 24th(2:45pm). Further, we will be premiering at Grauman’s Chinese Theater on August 16th(6:30pm) as part of the Hollyshorts Festival.
I am currently working on a feature documentary about a music festival that never happened in Benghazi. It is something of a positive re-interpretation of Heart of Darkness, a story about my love affair with the unique city of Benghazi. It is currently in post, and should be complete by 2013.
